ODB: Movie Review of Barbie

Patty and JD review the Barbie movie, directed by Greta Gerwig. We also discuss the fraud committed by Ruth Handler and her staff. In February 1978, Handler, three other former Mattel officers, and a supervisor were indicted by a federal grand jury for conspiracy, mail fraud, and making false financial statements to the Securities and Exchange Commission. At the time her sentence was one of the harshest for this type of crime.
